Methaansulfonato (tricyclohexylfosfine)(2'-amino-1,1'-bifenyl-2-yl)palladium(II) kan op grote schaal worden gebruikt in de organische synthese voor hydrogeneringsreacties, koppelingsreacties en katalytische amineringsreacties. Het kan als katalysator fungeren en deelnemen aan de hydrogeneringsreactie van olefinen, door deze om te zetten in overeenkomstige alkanen. Het kan ook worden gebruikt voor koppelingsreacties, zoals Suzuki-koppeling, Heck-koppeling en Sonogashira-koppeling, om organische bromiden of organische halogeniden te laten reageren met aryl-, vinyl- of alkynylsubstraten om koolstof-koolstof- of koolstof-stikstofbindingen te construeren.
